South Fulton Murder: Homicide Investigation Underway After Man Found Dead Inside Home

A routine welfare check escalated into a homicide investigation on Tuesday, July 29, after authorities discovered a deceased man inside a residence in the Spring Valley Parkway area, according to the South Fulton Police Department.

The incident began when officers were dispatched to the home following a request from a neighboring law enforcement agency. Upon arrival, South Fulton officers entered the residence and made the tragic discovery—a man found dead under circumstances that quickly raised suspicion.

Investigators have since launched a full-scale homicide investigation. A person of interest has been identified and is currently in custody for questioning. Authorities have not released the identity of the deceased or the potential suspect, and the cause of death has not yet been made public.

The South Fulton Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division, in collaboration with Crime Scene Investigators, is leading the probe into the death. Detectives are actively working to piece together the events leading up to the man’s death and determine whether foul play was involved.
